Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO WE PAY?

We use Barclay's payment portal to take payment for all our online course bookings.

HOW MUCH DO THE COURSES COST?

We offer a variety of courses throughout the year, so please check the course fee on the Courses page of our website.

CAN I BOOK INDIVIDUAL DAYS

We offer 10 week long blocks for our Autumn and Spring Courses, so unfortunately for these courses individual days are not accepted.

Individual days can however be booked for all Half Term and School Holiday courses by clicking on the calendar days you would like to attend when using our bookings portal.

WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION & COLLECTION PROCEDURE?

You will need to come along and register your child on the first day and help them put their lunch away.  However on the remaining days we encourage all the children to come along and check themselves in, which allows you to get on your way quicker. Please note that no children will be allowed to leave the courses without their parents present unless under previous arrangement with Jonathan Speller our cricket director in writing – this applies to children being picked up by another child’s parents as part of lift sharing. You can email him on director@twccricket.co.uk arrangements must also be confirmed in writing prior to the morning of the days play.

DO COURSES EVER BECOME FULLY BOOKED?

Yes they do especially over the Easter and Summer Half term. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Rain stops play on cricket days…. but that doesn’t mean we cancel our courses! We have excellent facilities at the club and our enthusiastic coaches will endeavor to move the course indoors either to continue the course in the Indoor Hall or to entertain the children by teaching them other aspects of the game that are also very important when developing as young cricketers. Such activities include quizzes, scorers training and umpiring challenges!

Please note that NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN IN THE EVENT OF RAIN.

WHAT CLOTHING OR KIT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING?

There is no dress code, however the majority of boys wear whites.  During the Easter courses in particular we encourage you to look at the weather forecast and provide your child with the additional layers that are necessary, this can also include gloves and beanies.

Children are encouraged to bring any cricket equipment that they feel comfortable with. Any children that do not have kit, we will provide club kit for. If your child is playing with a hardball though they will need their own abdominal guard as this is not a hygienic piece of equipment to be sharing!

Please ensure that all clothing and equipment is clearly named.

IS FOOD PROVIDED?

There is no food provided and all children must bring a packed lunch and water bottle with them. Please note that both items must be clearly named.

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO BOOK ONTO COURSES?

No, our courses are open to members and non-members. We do offer a week priority period for members wishing to book onto our camps.

DO I RECEIVE A CONFIMATION OF MY BOOKING?

Our booking system has been setup in such a way that we can never knowingly overbook. Please take confirmation of receipt of payment as confirmation that your child has booked a place.

DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?

Please see our Terms & Conditions page for more information.
